Who invested

The round was led by Trace Capital and Innovation X (Tenstorrent). New and existing investors included ARK Invest, Fidelity, Morgan Stanley, Sandisk, T. Rowe Price, Tether Investments and XTX Markets, among others.

According to CNA, the previous round in December 2024 raised more than $693 million at a $2 billion pre-money valuation (CNA). The valuation has more than doubled since then.

Where the money goes

Tenstorrent will deploy Galaxy servers at scale, serving open-weight LLMs and video generation models. It will also advance the AI and CPU IP it licenses to companies designing their own chips. The company says Samsung and LG license its TT-Ascalon RISC-V CPU and Tensix AI cores.

Tenstorrent sells at every size, from a single card or workstation to racks and superclusters. Its software stack is open source, so developers can run frontier models locally and enterprises can deploy on-prem. "We built one architecture and sell it at every size," said Keller.

Why it matters

The announcement targets chip designers, sovereign players and inference platforms that increasingly want to own their AI compute. RISC-V lets companies design processors without license fees, reducing dependence on proprietary chip ecosystems. Tenstorrent also has an office in Belgrade, which makes it one to watch for European sovereign AI plans.
