ChatGPT Slides: build and co-edit decks in Space
OpenAI launched ChatGPT Slides on October 16. It creates presentations in ChatGPT Space, lets teammates edit them in real time and exports finished decks to PowerPoint, PDF or Google Slides.

What Slides does
According to the ChatGPT release notes, a deck can start from a conversation, files or an outline. You can also share an example deck so ChatGPT matches its style and layout (OpenAI).
Text, images, shapes and charts can be edited directly, or you can ask ChatGPT to make the changes. It can generate custom images, or you can add your own.
Collaboration and export
Teammates can edit the same deck in real time and leave shared comments. You can present directly from ChatGPT. On the web, decks export to PowerPoint, PDF or Google Slides; in the desktop app they open in PowerPoint or Keynote when those apps are installed.
Who gets it
Slides is rolling out to eligible Pro, Business and Enterprise users with Space access, on the web and in the desktop app. Plus is not included for now. To start, ask ChatGPT in Work to create a presentation in Space.
GPT-6 Pro got an update too
The same release notes say GPT-6 Pro in the chat tab now responds faster, uses plugins and tools better, and can run multiple agents in parallel on different parts of a task, with their progress visible in the conversation. That update is rolling out to eligible Pro users.
Why it matters
The ChatGPT for PowerPoint add-in became generally available in July, but Slides keeps the whole flow inside ChatGPT, from outline to co-editing to presenting. Together with Space and Pages, it is a clear move onto office-suite territory. If you have been copying generated content into Google Slides or PowerPoint by hand, this is worth a test.
